All We Got, the new high energy tune from Rei.
Following up on his summer dnb te reo hit Te Whakapono ft. Huia, Rei is releasing another bilingual banger, All We Got. A pop/drum n bass/kapa haka mash up, this waiata will send you straight back to the summer festie mindset.
All We Got is released fresh off the back of Rei’s new album ARIKI, which dropped in December 2022. ARIKI has had singles in the top 10 te reo airplay charts nearly every week of last year, and debuted on the NZ Hot Albums chart.
Co-produced by talented NZ artist Mikeyy, Rei dances between te reo and english, keeping the song accessible for all kiwi’s. Rei is releasing multiple singles in the run up to his 2023 Matariki tour, which will see Rei performing all over Aotearoa.
The last 12 months have also seen Rei win 2 new Māori Music awards for his 2021 album ‘Enjoy the Ride’, releasing back to back albums and smashing festivals around NZ, including a much talked about main stage set at Splore 2023.
Heading to Canada for another music adventure in 2023, Rei ticked off his goal in 2022 of playing in the U.S. already, at a Coachella pre party in Palm Springs, as well as the famous Dive Motel in Nashville. He also traveled to Portugal to represent NZ at the World Music conference WOMEX. Other recent accolades include being a finalist for the 2021 Mana Reo award at the AMA’s, as well as achieving a top 5 spot for the APRA Silver Scrolls with his Maisey Rika collab ‘Hiwa i te Rangi’.
