Here's how two Kiwi lads are making a powdered alcohol to take on your next camping mish

Working for the people. 🤝

Two Kiwi fellas have set off on a mission to "revolutionise NZ’s alcohol industry" by making liquid-free cocktails.

Brayden and Conor, lads from Queenstown, call themselves 'The Unnamed Alcohol Project.' They're keen to make powdered cocktails for Kiwis to take on camping and hiking trips.

Being outdoorsmen themselves, they’re wanting to make it a helluva lot easier for Kiwis to trek our big backyard with bevvies on hand.

Just two months ago, the guys admitted they had “no money, no supplies, and no idea how to do it.” Despite the odds, they're making it happen - and are taking us along for the ride.

A shitload of experimentation and a few broken blenders later, the lads eventually got on the right track.

Using a very high percentage of alcohol and tapioca maltodextrin, the fellas finally cracked the concoction.

The boys now have a rough prototype sorted and say all you need is water to turn the powder into a cocktail on the go.

Brayden and Connor are well on their way to making their ‘what if’ project a reality - they’re looking into the legal process of getting it on the shelves, and are getting food scientists involved.

As highly requested by their 10,000 loyal followers on Instagram and TikTok, Pinacolada is the first flavour they’re keen to get out to us, but there’s still a long way to go.

The latest update shows the lads trying to make the powder as light as possible. They're mission? making a 50-gram pack of the stuff which is about 85% less than your usual bevvie can.

On ya boys, that’s what we call working for the people.
